Privacy Policy

Word Sushi ("the app", "we", "us") is a word game. We respect your privacy — this explains exactly what the app does and doesn't do with data.

Playing solo

Your high score, your sound / haptics / music preferences, and whether you've seen the how-to-play guide are saved only on your device, and are removed if you delete the app. We don't see any of it.

Friend Challenges

If you create or play a Friend Challenge, the app sends a small amount of anonymous game data to our server so the challenge link can work and both players can see the result:

• the game "seed" (which letter belt to generate)
• the scores from that challenge
• timestamps

This contains no personal information — no name, no email, no account, no device identifier — and is not linked to you. We do not use it to identify or track anyone. If you only play solo, none of this is sent.

Daily Puzzle

When you play the Daily Puzzle, your score and the date are sent to our server so the Daily leaderboard works and your streak survives a reinstall. As with Friend Challenges, this is anonymous — no name, no email, no device identifier.

Ads

Word Sushi displays ads from Google's AdMob between rounds to support the free version of the app. Tapping Remove Ads in the Shop removes them permanently.

The app does not request your IDFA (Apple's advertising identifier) and does not show the "Allow tracking" prompt. AdMob receives only basic technical information needed to deliver an ad (device model, OS version, ad slot, coarse region) and uses Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework for install attribution, which is anonymous by design. Ads served this way are non-personalized — no advertising profile is built for you.

In-App Purchases

If you buy Remove Ads, a power-up pack, or a cosmetic, the purchase is processed by Apple. We never see your payment information. Apple sends us a receipt that confirms the purchase so the app can grant the item.

What we don't do

• No accounts, no sign-in, no email collection.
• No IDFA collection and no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
• No third-party analytics, no behavioural tracking, no advertising profile.
• No selling or sharing of data with anyone other than the providers listed above (Apple for purchases, Google AdMob for ads, our own server for challenge / daily scores).

Children

Word Sushi is suitable for all ages. We don't ask for or store any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. AdMob ad content is restricted to the family-safe (4+) tier in the AdMob console.

Changes

If a future version changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before those changes ship.
